Plain-language definitions for terms you'll see across DDLG Confessions. If a confession uses a term that isn't here, let us know and we'll add it.

Little
An adult who takes on a regressed, carefree headspace (little space), often paired with a caregiver.
Caregiver / Daddy / Mommy
The partner who takes the nurturing, authoritative role in a DDLG dynamic: see Daddy/Mommy Dynamics.
Little space
The regressed mental headspace a little drops into: see our full guide.
Middle
A headspace between "little" and full adult mode: less regressed than deep little space, more playful than baseline adult mindset.
Age play
Roleplay involving a performed age difference between consenting adults: see Age Play.
Drop
The act (or moment) of shifting into little space; also used for the emotional/physical low that can follow an intense scene ("sub drop") if aftercare is skipped.
Aftercare
The care given after a scene or headspace session ends (checking in, comfort, a gentle transition back to normal) to prevent drop and reinforce trust.
D/s
Dominant/submissive: the general power-exchange structure that DDLG is one specific variety of.
Rules
Expectations set within a dynamic, from daily structure to one-off instructions: see Rules & Control.
Punishment / discipline
Agreed-upon consequences for broken rules within a dynamic: see Punishment & Discipline.
Praise kink
Getting gratification from being told you did well or pleased someone: see Praise & Approval.
Safeword
A pre-agreed word or signal used to pause or stop a scene immediately, unrelated to any in-scene "no."
Consensual non-consent (CNC)
A pre-negotiated fantasy scene simulating non-consent between partners who agreed to it beforehand, distinct from, and the opposite of, actual non-consent.
