Daddy's Little Secret from Training Day
Anonymous Naughty Bean #304 · General Confessions
I'm a military spouse and recently started exploring the DDLG dynamic with my partner. We both agreed it would be fun to incorporate some light discipline into our play, but there was one rule I couldn't resist breaking. We were in the middle of training day, which involves us staying in character as parent-child for an entire weekend. I'm supposed to be a strict Daddy and my partner is to act like a mischievous little one who follows rules or faces playful punishments. On Saturday evening, we had a schedule that included no snacking between meals, except fruits, and water only. Of course, as a grown-up with military training discipline, I expected myself to stick to the plan. But my partner found an old bag of potato chips hidden in one of the pantry cabinets - it was her favorite brand from childhood. She begged me not to tell our Daddy and pleaded that we could share just one chip to make her feel better. Being a strict Daddy, I said no at first but then couldn't resist giving in to her sweet little eyes. We both knew the rule clearly: any indulgence was off-limits without my permission. Instead of listening to my own guidance, I let our play character have that tiny moment of weakness. It didn't seem like a big deal at the time, just one measly chip for her and another for me as an act of leniency. But then later that night when we were watching movies together cuddled up in the living room, she brought it back up, reminding me how I broke my own rules without any real reason behind it. Feeling guilty about not sticking to our training day guidelines and disappointing myself, I had to face her with a playful yet stern reminder that discipline isn't just about enforcing strictness on others. It's also about having the strength to hold yourself accountable too. She laughed and said she would help me get back into character for the rest of our weekend. Even though it was only one small moment, it made me realize how important being a good example is in this dynamic we chose together.
