Just Figuring It Out...
Anonymous Sleepy Star #650 · General Confessions
So... I've been married to my military husband for five years now. We moved around a lot, but we always managed to keep our relationship steady and strong. But lately... things have felt off. He's been really into this thing called DDLG, or Daddy-Daughter Love Gaming. It's not something I've ever explored before, but he wants me to experience it with him. I mean, I get it. I think. I've seen how much fun people seem to have playing these roles... but when it comes down to it, it’s hard for me. I know we agreed on mutual respect and consent always being a priority, but honestly? The idea of submitting... it makes my skin crawl sometimes. We’ve tried a few sessions... mostly light stuff. He's more than respectful with the rules and boundaries I set... which is great, really. But something about calling me 'sweetheart' or 'baby' when we’re in role, when he’s 'Daddy' and I’m supposed to be his little girl, it just feels a bit odd. And here comes the real kicker, I love him so much that even though it's uncomfortable for me, there are moments where I find myself enjoying it. Like... the way he looks at me when we're playing... or how safe I feel in this role-play universe we've built together. It’s confusing and frustrating. Anyway, I'm just figuring out if I should stick with trying to understand this new thing, or maybe set some stricter limits or find another path entirely. What do you all think? Am I being a buzzkill by hesitating on such an important step in our relationship's development?...
