A Moment of Weakness
Anonymous Sleepy Fawn #818 · General Confessions
As a caregiver in my thirties who doesn't label myself strictly within the DDLG community but enjoys its emotional dynamics, I found myself slipping this week. It wasn’t anything major, no serious rule-breaking or something that would cause real damage, but it did feel like an important moment to reflect on and address. One day last week, after a particularly exhausting shift at work, I felt overwhelmed and decided to skip one of the chores I had been assigned. While it’s not the end of the world, it was a conscious choice to avoid my responsibilities in that moment of weakness. The guilt set in almost immediately; I know how important it is for me to maintain order and follow through with tasks even when tired or stressed. It made me realize once again just how much I value discipline and structure, not only from an external perspective but as a means to keep myself centered and mentally balanced.
