Training Secrets I Never Wanted to Share
Anonymous Curious Duckling #143 · General Confessions
I've been working as a personal trainer for years now, but there's something about me that always felt off. It started with my own fitness journey in my late twenties when I found myself drawn to the idea of being taken care of by someone stronger and more experienced. As strange as it sounds, I began looking up to some clients who were older and wiser than me, and they took on a mentor role, yet also something else that felt taboo but undeniably attractive. I started playing a little, acting younger and seeking guidance from men who seemed to embody strength and wisdom. We kept it subtle at first: extra training sessions where I pretended to struggle with exercises I already knew how to do perfectly well. It was exhilarating, letting someone push me beyond my limits while I acted like a novice craving advice. But it's been wearing on me recently, these secret interactions making the lines between professional and personal blur more than ever before. I know it’s unhealthy, but the relief of being seen as vulnerable and needing help is intoxicating. It’s a strange dance we’re playing, one that keeps me coming back for more even though I know it can't continue indefinitely.
