Lost My Marbles
Anonymous Midnight Cupcake #272 · General Confessions
I'm in my mid-twenties now and still trying to figure out this DDLG dynamic with my partner. We've been playing around with it for a while, but I feel like every time I step into that roleplay space, something inside me shifts back to those times when life felt simpler. Like last night, we had agreed not to eat snacks after 9 PM because it messed up my diet, but then I saw the bag of chocolate chip cookies and just couldn't resist. So there I was sneaking a few bites like I was ten again. The guilt hit me hard later when she called me out on breaking our rule. It's just one small thing, but it feels bigger because every time this happens, I worry that I’m not really adult enough for all of this to work. But then I realize, maybe being 'adult enough' is about acknowledging the moments where you slip and still choosing to keep growing.
