A Moment of Weakness at Work

As a retail worker and someone who takes my role as Daddy seriously both in and out of our playtime with my little, I adhered strictly to the rules we had established. However, one day while on duty, an unexpected craving for that chocolate bar right next to the checkout area hit me hard. The temptation was intense, knowing full well it violated a rule I'd set for myself about not indulging in sweets at work due to the constant stream of them and how they might tempt my little when she visited. Yet, there's something about a rule you've put upon yourself that becomes an almost tangible test of willpower. The longer one resists, the more it looms over every decision, whispering alluringly in your ear with each passing temptation. That day was no exception, I stood there staring at the chocolate bar, its shiny wrapper mocking me, before finally giving in to the craving. I felt a sense of guilt immediately afterwards, knowing how seriously my little takes these rules and respects them herself. The momentary lapse in self-control was short-lived but impactful, leaving an uncomfortable cloud hanging over my workday for hours.
