Empty Chairs and Whispers of Yesterday

I sit in the room we made sacred, the one where it all began. The space that once buzzed with energy now echoes with silence. My hands trace over the chair where she used to sit, her laughter fading into distant memories. We talked about building a future here, but somewhere along the way, reality and our dreams diverged sharply. I can still feel the weight of those conversations, heavy and sorrowful. She left weeks ago, taking with her the last bit of warmth this room once held. It's just me now, an older man in his twenties, looking at empty chairs, whispering to shadows.
