Feeling Disobedient

Anonymous Curious Cupcake #600 · General Confessions

I never thought I'd find myself feeling so lost and out of place. Lately, I've been drawn to a dynamic that's both comforting and terrifying in its intensity. It started as something small, a desire to follow orders without question, but it's grown into something deeper, more complicated than I ever imagined. Last night, the urge became too much when my boss asked me to stay late and finish up some tasks before heading home. She trusts me with her business, counts on me to be reliable. But instead of staying behind like she asked, I found myself sneaking out early just to give into a craving for ice cream that wasn't part of the plan. It felt childish, wrong somehow. As I ate those frozen treats alone at home, I couldn’t help but feel like I disappointed not only my boss but this newer part of me too, the part that craves structure and guidance in such an intense way. That moment of disobedience has left me questioning everything.
