Forgot About The Rules (Again)

Anonymous Candy Doll #649 · General Confessions

I never thought I'd be admitting this on a kinky site of all places! But here goes nothing. My husband and I have been exploring DDLG as a playful way to add some spice into our relationship, even though we're both in our mid-thirties. It's really helped us reconnect after the stress of being military spouses for so long. We've been going strong for a few months now, but there's one thing that keeps happening, me breaking his rules. So here it goes: he was out on deployment last month when we agreed on some new ground rules to keep our dynamic fresh. The big one is about chores. He made me promise to do at least two tasks each day before I can relax or eat dinner (in character, that's like a punishment for not being disciplined enough). It's really supposed to be about trust and responsibility. Well, guess what? Yesterday morning, my alarm didn't go off, and then somehow I got distracted by some emails from work. Before I knew it, it was almost noon and I had barely done anything around the house, no laundry, no dishes... nada! In our sessions, he always tells me how important it is to take care of things before playing. But let's face it, sometimes being a military spouse isn't easy. Then this morning, as if on cue for my confession, I caught myself thinking about all the little chores I neglected last week too. Ugh! And yes, there was that time when he came home unexpectedly and found me still in my pajamas with dirty dishes everywhere (and yeah, no dinner had been made either). It felt like a major slip-up. I know it might sound silly to be so hung up on chores and little rules like this. But the whole point of our DDLG dynamic is that I'm supposed to listen and follow directions, just like how I expect him to take care of things when he's home too. So now here I am, admitting my latest slip-up and feeling a bit guilty. I think maybe it's time for me to be more mindful about balancing the responsibilities between us. Maybe then, when we talk next week, this won't be such an issue anymore. After all, we both deserve respect in our relationship, even if it means learning how to do dishes on time. So yeah, that's my confession. I hope he doesn't get too mad at me...
