My Unexpected Role as Mama

Anonymous Giggly Marshmallow #564 · General Confessions

So I've been this caregiver for almost two years now. It's funny how it just kinda happened naturally - you know, one thing leads to another and suddenly there we are. At first, it was all about supporting my partner through a rough patch. But somewhere along the way, he started calling me Mama and everything just clicked. I mean, who knew I'd end up in this role? It's not exactly something you see every day, right? And yet here I am, waking him up with morning tea, tucking him into bed at night, even helping him pick out clothes for the week. We don't really need a label - it’s just us, living and loving on our own terms. Sometimes people give me these looks like they think I’m some kind of freak or something. But screw that noise - this is about two adults finding joy in each other however we can. And let's be clear: there’s no shortage of intimacy here, either. It's wild how being the nurturing one can turn you on in ways you never expected. Anyway, it started as a joke but turned into something more real than I ever thought possible. We just mesh so well - he loves to be taken care of and I love doing the taking-care-of. It’s a beautiful balance, really. And honestly? There's nothing I wouldn't do for this man. So yeah, that's my confession - I’m not your typical caregiver story. But hey, if you're into it and want to give it a go, more power to ya! Just make sure everyone involved is happy and consenting the whole way through.
