A Little Oversight

Since my divorce, I've found myself leaning into the role of a caregiver without really embracing any formal 'Daddy/Mommy' dynamic. Tonight, though, after a particularly trying day at work, I ended up breaking one of my own rules that I'd set for myself as part of this little space, a small treat before bedtime instead of right after dinner as I’d promised. It felt like a tiny act of rebellion against the strictness I impose on myself, and it left me feeling both naughty and oddly relieved. No big deal, just one of those moments where even grown-ups need to let loose a bit.
