Little Moments in Big Life
Anonymous Curious Doll #671 · General Confessions
So yeah, I've been this weird spot for a while now where sometimes I feel like getting into little-space stuff. Like, one day I'm totally rocking the caregiver role and everything is just adult problems and responsibilities. But other days, my head goes all fuzzy and I want someone to tell me what to do, not in that submissive way necessarily, but more like... 'Can you take care of this for me?' It started a couple years ago when a friend brought up the idea while we were playing video games. Next thing you know, I'm sitting on the floor with a stuffed animal and wearing shorts and tank tops, feeling pretty ridiculous yet oddly comforted. The look on my partner's face was priceless though, part surprise, part amusement. The weird thing is that even when it’s just me being little, there are moments of clarity where I’m like, 'This isn't normal for someone who's 25,' but then those thoughts fade away quickly once the role takes over. It’s a bit surreal sometimes, how one day I can be dealing with grown-up issues like work and bills, and the next I want to read picture books and pretend my problems don’t exist. Anyway, not sure what this says about me or why I keep coming back to it, just seems like another part of who I am as a person. It’s funny how much I can get from these moments that seem so out of place with the rest of my life.
