I’m a barista at the local café, and I’ve always prided myself on being reliable and responsible. Lately though, my interest in DDLG dynamics has started to spill over into my daily life. It’s been fun, kind of exciting to feel like someone is taking care of me again, you know? ...It's funny how we can take such pride in our independence but still crave a bit of guidance and support now and then. Last week, I agreed with my Dominant that the house would stay clean. He’s been helping me work through some things from my past, and it’s comforting to have someone oversee my progress. But yesterday, after a particularly grueling shift, I just... didn’t feel like tackling all of the laundry. ...So I left it piling up on the floor. Now you’d think this is such a tiny thing, leaving clothes in piles. In the grand scheme of things, it’s not even that bad or unimportant. But for me? It goes against our agreement. For us to keep moving forward and growing together, sometimes we need to stick to those agreements...even when I’m tired. I know he won’t be angry; he understands the struggle with mental fatigue as well as anyone. Still, it’s this nagging voice in my head that keeps whispering “What if? What if I can’t do this?” ...It’s been a long day but there's nothing more to do now except face the pile and get started on folding them...
