A Weak Moment at Work
Anonymous Sleepy Peach #563 · General Confessions
I'm not sure how to start this, and I feel really embarrassed. It's like there's a weight on my chest just thinking about it. Today was one of those days where everything felt slow and pointless, you know? The kind of day when you're so bored that your mind starts going places it shouldn't. I work in an office, typical stuff, not much excitement. But lately, there’s been this thing that's been building up inside me, this craving for something more than just the mundane. And today... well, I gave in to a part of myself I’ve tried so hard to ignore. It happened after lunch when everyone else was at meetings or on calls. My desk is near the break room where we keep a stash of snacks and drinks. There’s this one corner that’s kind of out of sight from the main door. It's quiet there, usually. So I went there with some stuff to munch on because I wasn't in the mood for food but felt hungry somehow. That's when it hit me, I don't know what triggered it exactly. Maybe something about how empty and pointless everything seemed at that moment. I found myself thinking about this idea of being submissive, not as a fantasy really, but as a way to escape from all the dullness and control for a little while. It's like... if you're in someone else’s hands, even just pretending, there's no need to think or worry. I ended up trying something I had been daydreaming about since before, writing down some requests on a piece of paper and placing it under my desk with the snacks. Just little notes that were more like asking for guidance in how to be someone else’s toy rather than anything serious, but even just doing that felt risky and weird. Looking back, I don't know why I did this or what I thought would happen next, but something about it made me feel both scared and strangely relieved. Like there's a part of me that wants escape more than safety. It’s probably going to sound ridiculous when I think about it later, but at the moment, it felt like an act of rebellion against my boring life. I didn't tell anyone or follow through with anything, just left everything as is and got back to work pretending nothing happened. But now it's sitting in my head like a stone, making me feel guilty and curious all at once. What does this say about me? Am I crazy for even thinking such things when there’s no real risk involved except feeling stupid? I guess I just needed to get that out somehow.
