Forgot My Homework Again

So I'm a software engineer by day and play mommy to my little in our kink space. We have rules for the roleplay, just like any other structured activity. One of them is that he has to complete his homework before we can engage in anything fun or relaxing together. Well, last night after work, I got caught up on some emails and completely forgot about it. My little was waiting patiently but became pretty upset when he saw I didn't have his homework ready. It's the second time this week too. I feel bad, even though it wasn't a major slip-up. He reminded me of how much he depends on me to keep things in order, and that made me realize again just how serious we both are about this play dynamic despite everything else being a game. Maybe I should get better at reminders for these kinds of responsibilities, though I know it's mostly on me to stay organized.
