My Secret Guilt of Skipping Laundry
Anonymous Sleepy Star #381 · General Confessions
I've been working from home as a freelance writer for the past six months now. It's been a big change in my life, but it’s also allowed me to explore some things I never thought I would. Lately, I’ve started experimenting with DDLG dynamics with my partner, who has taken on the role of Daddy and me that of his little girl. We're still very new at this, so everything is delicate and slow-moving. But there's one thing that really gets to me in our playtime, it’s when Daddy asks me to do something small for him or set a goal for myself during an exercise period, and I don’t follow through. This morning was the latest incident. He had asked me yesterday evening to sort out all my laundry because it had been piling up in my room for weeks. Being his little girl means following rules and showing responsibility. But this morning, when he reminded me about the laundry again, something inside of me felt like I wanted to rebel a bit. I’m not sure why, maybe it was just being tired or wanting one more night without chores. So instead of getting up early as planned to do the laundry, I made coffee and sat at my desk, pretending to work while watching Netflix episodes instead. Later that day when Daddy called me to check in, he asked about the laundry again. I lied and said it was done, telling him I had run a load this morning and put everything away. The guilt hit me like a ton of bricks after hanging up. Here I am trying to embrace these DDLG dynamics, but I’m breaking one of his rules for no good reason other than my own laziness. It’s embarrassing because it feels so out of character for the little girl I want to be in this dynamic. The shame is heavy as it reminds me that even though I try hard, sometimes I fail at being responsible and obedient. I haven’t brought this up with Daddy yet, but I know I have to face him about lying about such a small thing. It’s important for us both to see how I really feel about these rules and my behavior in the dynamic. This is just one of those little everyday failures that can make you question yourself in a big way.
