Today's Little Mishap
Anonymous Secret Duckling #436 · Daddy/Mommy Dynamics
I'm Dr. Marissa Johnson, in my late 40s now and quite settled into my little persona when it comes to my dynamic with my Daddy. We have an established set of rules that we both stick to religiously, well, mostly. Today was one of those rare days where I slipped up, though. My Daddy had asked me to clean the living room before he came home from work tonight, and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Instead, I spent hours getting lost in a novel he picked out for me, thinking about how much fun we could have if he wouldn't be so strict sometimes. But now that evening is here, I feel this weight of guilt sitting heavy in my stomach. It’s strange, you’d think an adult wouldn’t worry over something like this, but it feels like a big deal when you’re a little. Maybe it's just me being extra sensitive because the weather turned cold and I crave his warmth more now? Or maybe it’s that he always knows exactly how to make me feel better with just one look. But still, breaking rules, even small ones, leaves this lingering feeling like a bad taste in my mouth.
