Feeling Lost in My Roleplay Journey

Anonymous Curious Marshmallow #858 · General Confessions

I'm Lisa, a trans woman in my 30s who's recently started exploring the world of adult roleplays. I've always felt like an outsider, even before transitioning. Lately, I’ve found myself drawn to DDLG dynamics but feel unsure and lost about how to begin. The other day, I met someone online who seemed interested in a mentor-student scenario, and we decided to give it a try. We started with something simple, dressing up as a student for the first time, feeling that familiar mix of excitement and fear. But when she began issuing instructions, like 'go to your room' or 'don't talk back,' I found myself questioning if this was really what I wanted. The experience felt both thrilling and deeply uncomfortable at once. Now, days later, I'm wondering if these feelings are common for someone new to the dynamic? Should I give it more time, or is it okay to move on to something else that better suits my needs and desires? It's all so confusing, and yet, there’s this part of me that craves guidance and direction. Is seeking support from others in the community a good idea? How do you know if you’re doing the right things for yourself? Any advice or words would be immensely helpful.
