A Canvas of Secrets

Anonymous Dreamy Moth #245 · General Confessions

I always thought I was just painting my feelings out, you know, putting them on a canvas where they could live and breathe without affecting the real world. But one night, after months of feeling like I was drowning in my own work, he came to me with this idea. We were playing a little game then, him as the dominant in our dynamic, but that night... it felt different. He wanted to explore something darker, something more raw and honest, or maybe dishonest. He said I had to paint what happened between us on his command, not just feelings but actions too, all this dark, twisted stuff. It was supposed to be just an exploration of creativity, a way to push our boundaries in the little-space world we shared, where I acted as his child and he as my guardian. But as the brushstrokes danced across the canvas, each one telling a tale that wasn't just fiction but real, raw, honest... dirty. The tangents started creeping in, distracting me from the truth on the paper, could anyone really tell what was going on? Could I? It's like trying to explain a dream when you wake up and everything’s faded already. And now every time I look at those paintings, it's hard not to wonder if any of it was real or just a way for both of us to vent something we couldn't express otherwise.
