New Realization

I just figured out I'm into DDLG/kink stuff, and it's blowing my mind. Was chatting with a friend about role-playing scenarios last night, I never thought of myself as the type, but now that I think about it, there’s this part of me that gets so turned on by the idea of submission and authority play. It’s crazy how long it took for me to acknowledge this side of me. And hey, does anyone have any advice or similar experiences they could share? Am I totally out of my league here?
