Experiment in Exploration

I've been teaching college-level philosophy and ethics for nearly two decades now. For my entire career, I’ve approached every subject with a critical yet open-minded perspective, always encouraging my students to explore and question their own beliefs and boundaries. Recently, however, I found myself intrigued by the concept of consensual adult power dynamics as a form of personal exploration. It started innocuously enough; reading articles, watching videos, nothing explicit. Then one day, while feeling particularly adventurous after some late nights grading papers, I took the leap into something completely new and unfamiliar to me: an online anonymous submission site for mature content. I crafted my first confession piece with care, trying to be honest about my experiences without crossing any lines of personal comfort or ethical concern. Reflecting on it now, there’s a certain detachment from the experience, almost as if it happened to someone else, a clinical observation rather than a deeply felt emotional journey.
