..Was This Normal?..

Anonymous Candy Marshmallow #811 · General Confessions

I’ve been exploring my little space for about six months now. Last weekend was the first time I let someone else be the authority figure. My Daddy had prepared a special day for me, and it started before sunrise with breakfast in bed, pancakes, strawberries, and chocolate milk... It felt like such a luxury at that early hour! He then planned activities to spoil me all day: trips to the toy store, a movie marathon of classics from my childhood... Every little thing he did made me feel so loved and cared for. The best part was when we got home. I wasn’t allowed to help with any chores or cooking, it was all about enjoying his presence and feeling like a kid again. He even read me bedtime stories as if I were much younger... But then, something happened that made me wonder: Is it normal for someone in my 20s to feel so deeply childlike when their partner acts like a parent? The way he took care of me was overwhelmingly sweet but also left me with this strange mix of happiness and uncertainty. Should I keep letting him take such a nurturing role, or should I be more independent... What do you think? Am I the only one who finds this confusing...
