Caregiving Without Labels
Anonymous Dizzy Pixie #735 · General Confessions
I've always thought of myself as a caregiver at heart, but lately I've found myself drawn to an odd dynamic. When I'm with this one person, let's call him Alex, we don't use any labels like 'Daddy' or 'little.' Instead, it's just me being there for him in a more protective, nurturing role than I am with anyone else. It's strange because we've never discussed it explicitly, but something about the way he looks to me for guidance and support triggers something deep inside of me. The intimacy is clear when I correct his behavior or gently scold him if he slips up, I feel like a trusted figure who knows how to handle all his quirks and flaws. It's fascinating because there's no pretense here, just mutual understanding and respect, yet it still feels intensely personal and intimate.
