Conflicted Consequences of a Secret Roleplay
Anonymous Sleepy Cub #682 · General Confessions
I've always been this confident and in control person. Even as a college student trying to balance studies with a part-time job, I managed everything well until recently. It all started when I met this guy online who was interested in the DDLG dynamic. We connected over our shared interests and soon enough, we decided to try it out. He suggested he could play daddy while I took on the role of his mommy, a dynamic that intrigued me deeply yet made me feel slightly guilty. We agreed on some strict boundaries right from the start: no physical contact unless both parties were comfortable, and clear communication about expectations and limits. Initially, everything was fine; we would talk for hours about silly mom-and-child conversations, planning out activities or discussing mundane things in a way that felt nurturing but not overly intense. Then one day, I suggested something more... challenging. We decided to push our roles further by having me discipline him when he broke certain rules set up just for this roleplay. It wasn't physical at all; it was about asserting authority and making sure we stayed in character. But as the days went on, I found myself becoming quite strict with him, almost like a real parent would be. This made me feel oddly powerful but also terribly guilty because it was all pretend. One particular incident stands out: he broke one of our rules about communicating openly and honestly during playtime. As his 'mom,' I had to discipline him by denying him the next session's roleplay unless he confessed fully what went wrong and why. He complied, but there was a moment where my heart almost stopped as I realized how real this had become in my mind. Now here's the thing: while I enjoyed being his mommy and felt like it helped us grow closer in our relationship, sometimes it crosses into places that make me uncomfortable. The guilt is overwhelming because even though we both agreed to these rules and roleplay dynamics, there are moments when it feels too real or goes beyond what was initially planned. So my question for you all: am I the asshole here? Is this kind of dynamic unhealthy despite clear boundaries being set and respected? What should someone like me do if they're feeling conflicted about these types of roleplays?
