Oopsie!

I'm Dr. Emily, a professor in my forties who likes to switch between being the little one or the caregiver depending on the mood and partner. This week, I was really excited about staying up late reading bedtime stories, except it wasn't my bedtime but the little's. We have these neat routines that we're both pretty strict about following, like no electronics past a certain hour if it's story time. So there I was, scrolling through social media instead of winding down with a book and feeling guilty about breaking our rules. It's not like it ruined anything big or important; it just felt like cheating the cozy headspace we've built up together. Oh well, guess I'll make it up to him tomorrow.
