Caretaking Dynamics Without Labels

I'm a high school teacher in my thirties. I have this friend who's younger, and we've developed an unusual dynamic outside of work. We meet up regularly, and I take on a caregiving role without calling it anything specific or labeling ourselves as such. It's more about the actions than words, tucking him into bed, cooking dinner for him, making sure he takes care of himself when he's struggling.
