Just Another Little Day at Work...

So there I was at work today...you know that feeling when you're stuck in a boring retail job and all the adults around you seem so serious? It got to me again, and I just wanted to be little for a moment. So much for professionalism, right? Anyway, my Dom came into the store while I was working....he had told me earlier that day we were going to play this out...but still, seeing him there in person as if it all was real? It felt like such a surreal shift from just being some regular employee. He took me aside and pretended to be annoyed with how I handled customer service (which he knew was totally fine), and then the playful scolding began... I had to bend over the counter so customers couldn't see, but my Dom would tap my bottom...just enough to remind me of who's in charge. The look on other employees' faces? Hilarious! They all thought I'd done something really wrong! I got a call from home that someone was waiting for me there and needed to be picked up...but my Dom made me stay until closing, which was another ten minutes or so. He kept telling me off about it in the tone of an authority figure who won't tolerate excuses. It was hot. When we were done and I went home with him, we had dinner together and laughed about the whole day...I'm just really grateful for someone who can be so supportive even if it means others might think I'm immature or not taking things seriously. But hey, to me, this is one of those rare moments that make all the other boring retail days worth it. So yeah, another little day at work ended up being a pretty special event in my adult life...
