Back to Basics

Anonymous Midnight Peach #301 · General Confessions

Since my divorce six months ago, I've been feeling lost and alone. My marriage was a cornerstone that defined so much of who I thought I was. Now, trying to reclaim parts of myself feels like climbing back into the dark corners of my childhood memories, before adulthood took over and responsibilities became everything. Recently, though, something different has crept in, an unexpected return to little-space dynamics with someone new. It's been a strange comfort, this ability to regress momentarily without any real sense of loss or abandonment. I guess it's just about finding solace where you can when the world feels too big and your confidence is shattered into pieces.
