Just Another Sunday Afternoon?
Anonymous Playful Moth #196 · General Confessions
I'm an artist, but today I found myself in a different role. My partner calls me Mommy, and we indulge in our playful dynamic from time to time. Today was one such day; he needed some guidance and discipline after a series of poor choices. The whole affair felt rather anticlimactic, almost like it was supposed to be a cathartic release but ended up being just another routine event on the calendar. So here I am, typing away in the quiet of my studio, wondering if there’s more depth or meaning to this dynamic we've chosen than what's been revealed. Do others find their sessions as mundane as today’s felt? Is it normal for such an experience to not yield some profound insight or transformation every time? If you’ve got thoughts on whether what I’m feeling is typical, if there are hidden nuances that escape me in these moments, please let me know.
