Little Mistake at Home

I’m usually quite disciplined as a Mommy, but this week has been one of those days when everything feels like it’s going wrong. My kiddo is still learning the ropes of our DDLG dynamic, and today I found out she snuck an extra cookie from the kitchen before dinner. It wasn’t supposed to be her snack time yet, and we have a strict rule about eating only during designated times. When she confessed, I was frustrated but also felt disappointed in myself for not being there when I needed to be to guide her better. Our dynamic is built on trust and mutual respect, so while it wasn't a huge issue, breaking this routine bothered me more than usual. We talked about why the rules are important and how we can both do better moving forward.
