The Unexpected Discipline Session

Anonymous Shy Peach #446 · General Confessions

I'm a freelancer working from home, and recently I've started engaging in an unusual dynamic with my partner. We've been together for about two years now, and our relationship is quite stable, but lately there's this odd sense of discipline that we've incorporated into our everyday life, mostly triggered by moments where I feel like I'm not performing well or making mistakes at work. It began as a playful idea during one of our more intimate sessions. We were discussing our fantasies and desires, and it turned out he had a deep fascination with the concept of an authoritative partner who could help him regain focus when his life felt chaotic. The idea intrigued me, here was someone willing to let me take on this kind of control in our relationship. Initially, it started small, a gentle tap or verbal correction if we were together and I noticed something that needed attention. Over time though, things escalated, especially after a particularly stressful week at work where I felt overwhelmed by deadlines and client issues. We decided to have a more formal session. He came home from work feeling disorganized and scattered, and I stepped into the role of Mommy, his protector and disciplinarian. The evening started like any other with dinner, but then we moved into his room. The switch was flipped, I lit candles, put on my favorite dress that felt almost matronly, and began to address how his week had been. We talked about the importance of focus and prioritizing tasks before I led him to sit in a particular chair by our bed. He's forty and I'm thirty-five; he can be very self-assured but also open when it comes to submitting. I started with affirmations, emphasizing how much we valued each other and why taking this moment was important for us both. Then came the actual discipline, a hand span on his backside that stung enough to make him wince. I followed up with more words about responsibility and accountability before ending the session on a positive note, reiterating my support. The session left me feeling incredibly fulfilled and him noticeably calmer. We both agreed it helped put things in perspective for the week ahead. Yet, as much as this dynamic has brought us closer and given us clarity, there's still that nagging question, how far is too far when one partner starts to dictate terms in a relationship? So here's my confession: How do you find balance in dynamics where authority and submission are key elements? Am I crossing the line somewhere without realizing it?
