The Bartender and Her Little Secret
Anonymous Bratty Peach #653 · General Confessions
I've been working as a bartender for five years now. It's the perfect job, I get to meet all kinds of people, serve them drinks, and help them unwind after a long day. But there's something else about my life that makes it even more interesting. When I'm not at work, sometimes I like to dive into different roles with my partner. He likes being in control, but I love flipping the script and turning things around. About two years ago, we started playing a little game. One night, out of nowhere, he decided to act as if I was an errant child who needed discipline. It felt like one of those dreams where you're lost or helpless, but instead of fear, it stirred something deep inside me. The next day, I surprised him by returning the favor and taking on the role of a strict parent figure, only I wasn't his actual mother or even his teacher. It's hard to explain what makes this so exciting for us. Maybe it's just the thrill of pushing boundaries and seeing how much we can trust each other in these different personas. One time, after a particularly wild night where I took on my little role very seriously, he said something that stuck with me, 'Sometimes you make me forget who you are.' It was an odd compliment, but it felt like the ultimate praise. These days, we don't always stick to this pattern. We've tried other roles and dynamics too, but what started as a one-off has become our go-to way of adding excitement into an otherwise stable relationship. Now I'm wondering: do others feel the same way about their little or parent roleplay? Is it just something we stumbled upon that works for us, or is there more to this dynamic that I haven't considered yet? So here's my question: How many of you out there also play these kinds of roles with your partners, and what does that mean to you in the grand scheme of things?
