When My Role Changed More Than I Expected
Anonymous Cuddly Moth #694 · General Confessions
I’ve always been this awkward mix of a caregiver and someone who loves to play little. It’s like there are two sides to me, both equally strong but never at the same time. In my 30s now, still working as a nurse in the children's ward, it’s funny how that happened organically too, because I think being around kids makes it easier for one side of me to come out. So there was this guy, let’s call him Jack, who got really interested when he found out about my little side. He loved taking care of me in a way that felt almost... parental? It was intense, but so consensual and explicit every step of the way. We’d go to these places where it was just us, and we’d role-play scenarios that were incredibly detailed, down to the exact tone he used with me when I was “being naughty” or needing guidance. The thing is, as much as I loved being cared for in those moments, I also found myself wanting more control sometimes. Like when Jack would have this look of intense authority and dominance, it’d turn something on inside me that wanted to protect him, too. And one night, after a particularly heated scene where I was the little one, I did something unexpected, I pushed him down gently onto the bed and took over. I started issuing commands as if he were my patient in recovery, asking him to rest and listen carefully to what I had to say. It felt weird but good, like there’s a third part of me that’s been waiting for its moment to shine. Afterwards, we talked about it. Jack was surprised too; it was definitely not something we’d planned or hinted at before. I feel this weird mix of shame and pride now thinking about how things shifted so unexpectedly in our dynamic. But also... maybe I needed someone to push me into seeing what else is there within myself? It’s a strange confession, but one that keeps playing back in my mind.
