Just Found My Groove, Need Feedback Please!

Hi everyone, I'm new here and still figuring things out. So, my partner and I started exploring a DDLG dynamic a few weeks ago. We're both 28 and it's been quite an eye-opener for me to find myself drawn into this world where role-play is more than just fun, it’s also incredibly intimate. Last night was particularly intense; she set up a whole scenario with lights dimmed, her favorite toys out, and even some props that made everything feel so real. I found myself really enjoying the discipline aspect too, having to kneel when told, answering questions quickly, all while receiving playful corrections if I faltered. It felt both humbling and incredibly exciting. We both got lost in it and ended up feeling much closer than usual. However, I'm still unsure about how far we should take this. Is what we did common? Am I overthinking it or is there something I need to be more cautious of as we continue?
