First Time Skipping Chore

I joined this group hoping to find a way to feel more disciplined and grown-up. I haven't even started exploring the kink stuff yet because I'm still figuring out how everything works, but there's something about being here that feels important for me right now. Today though, I did something silly and childish. I skipped doing one of my chores - it was a small thing like putting away clean dishes or folding laundry. It felt really wrong after all the stuff I've been reading about responsibility and following rules. But even as an adult, sometimes I feel this urge to be lazy just for a moment and then I forget how bad that feels later when I look around my messy room. I'm not sure why I did it but now I have this knot in my stomach worrying what would happen if someone found out. I know deep down I want to do better.
