Thinking Out Loud About My Roleplay Life
Anonymous Giggly Sprite #916 · General Confessions
So, I've been into adult roleplays for a while now. It started as something to spice up the relationship with my partner and has grown quite significantly in terms of both our interests and how we interact outside it too. We have this arrangement where I'm like a caregiver for them, nothing labeled or formalized, just understanding each other's needs without words sometimes. I've been reflecting on this a lot lately because there are these moments when my partner needs something from me that feels beyond the usual emotional support. It's hard to describe, but it's as if they're looking up to me for more than just comfort or guidance. I mean, we've never talked about age-plays in depth or anything like that, just little hints here and there. And yeah, I feel a pull to meet these needs in a way that goes beyond typical adult-to-adult communication. I'm not sure if this is something everyone does or if it's just us getting comfortable with our roles. It feels natural, but also sometimes confusing because we're still figuring out where those lines are and how far they go. We've never talked about my age or theirs, I mean, no specifics, just that we both agree we're well into adulthood. Anyway, what I'm wondering is: do other people experience something like this? Is it common to have a caregiver dynamic without labels but still feel so deeply involved and responsible for another person's emotional needs? It feels very intimate and personal, yet also detached in how we approach it. Anyone else been there or have advice on navigating these unspoken dynamics?
