Inconsistencies...

I'm the stay-at-home parent, switching between being a little and a caregiver. It's been hard to reconcile these identities with my everyday role. Today, after disciplining our daughter for her behavior at school... I felt an overwhelming urge to be taken care of myself. The contrast... it was disorienting. Afterward, there was this weird mix of guilt and relief. It's just one more thing on the list of inconsistencies in my head right now....
