Post-Divorce DDLG Experiment

Anonymous Velvet Peach #243 · General Confessions

So here I am, recently divorced and in a state where even my favorite Netflix shows can't distract me from the fact that I'm not exactly sure what to do with myself now. My ex was everything to me, or so I thought until she left without looking back. And suddenly I found myself craving a structure, something to fill this gaping hole that feels like it'll never be filled by another human being again. That's when I stumbled upon the DDLG community online. I know, I know, it sounds like a bunch of nonsense to most people, 'Daddy' and 'Lil,' or whatever they call themselves these days. But there’s something oddly comforting about the idea, if you can get past all the giggles and playful teasing that seem mandatory. I decided to give this whole thing a try because I needed an outlet, some way to channel my overwhelming need for attention and care. It didn’t take long before I found someone who was willing to play along, let’s call him Mr. G from now on, and he didn't disappoint in being the 'Daddy' figure I had started thinking about. We met at a coffee shop downtown, both of us pretending not to be nervous but just as curious as hell about what we were getting into. I hadn’t planned anything specific, figuring we’d just talk and see where things went. But Mr. G seemed eager from the start, he was well-prepared with all kinds of stuff he thought would help me feel cared for. That first meeting turned out to be more intense than either of us expected. We started with some light teasing about how I should behave more like a little girl, which set off a chain reaction that led to him giving me specific chores and tasks throughout the day, all framed in this playful 'Daddy' context. I ended up staying over at his place for an overnight session where he made sure to cater to my needs while also doling out some pretend punishment when I misbehaved, which happened more often than not because let’s be honest, it was all still so new and foreign. I found myself laughing through the discomfort as we both explored these weird but surprisingly comforting roles. Looking back on that night now feels like stepping into a different life. It wasn’t real in any way, just two adults playing pretend to cope with our own individual heartaches. But it did help me figure out a bit more about what I need moving forward, even if it's still confusing as hell.
