I was in for a routine check-up when Dr. Thompson suggested we switch roles, he wanted me to be his caregiver for an hour as part of some unusual therapeutic technique. Initially, I refused, but after a bit of convincing, I agreed to take charge and care for him like he was my patient back at the clinic. It felt oddly empowering to order him around, monitor his vitals, even prescribe pretend medication. He seemed pleased with how serious and thorough I was as a caregiver.
