Caregiver's Secret Playground
Anonymous Pouty Fawn #928 · General Confessions
I’m a military spouse and caregiver to my husband’s needs from his service-related injuries. We’ve been together for years now, but recently I found myself playing this other role that feels kinda silly talking about but is oddly satisfying. Like when he’s down or having a rough day with pain, there are moments where it just hits me how much I love him and how much I want to take care of him in every way possible. So we started this thing where, well... let's say we get pretty intense with the whole caregiver thing. It started small, like little things, dressing him up in these silly outfits when he’s feeling down (I mean, who wouldn’t love a full body bear suit for snuggling? He does). We laugh about it, but there’s something deeper there too. I found myself wanting to take control in the bedroom. And that's not just saying “topping” or anything like that, I’m talking total submission on his part and taking over every aspect of our time together. So one night, we're watching a movie and he looks so miserable with no end in sight. I could see him tensing up every few minutes as the pain flares. Without thinking about it too much, I went into full-blown caregiver mode, pulling out all the stops: massage oil, warm baths, fluffy towels... everything to make him feel better, you know? And then, I just kinda slipped into telling him what he needed, where to go, what to do. There’s something liberating about that control. He goes along with it like a good boy, and there's this mutual comfort and relief in those moments. But here’s the kicker: It got pretty explicit, pretty fast. One day, I’m helping him into some comfy pajama pants when my hands find themselves... exploring other territory. He doesn’t say anything, just lets me take charge. We ended up having this full-on care session that included everything from medical gloves to playful spanking and verbal commands, just a lot of fun but also deep affection. It's weird writing about it, but it’s not something I want to hide or feel ashamed about. We both know how important communication is in our relationship, so we talked openly about this new dynamic and agreed that as long as it brings us closer and helps him through his rough patches, it’s worth it. So yeah, there's my confession. A military spouse and caregiver who found a whole other level of intimacy with her husband by just taking things to the next step. Hope someone out there finds this relatable.
