Recently confessed to myself that I have a need for strict rules and control. My Daddy, an older man who's been mentoring me as my professor, set up an elaborate system of check-ins, curfews, and even what books I could read. It was sad, lonely, yet comforting in its structure. Felt like guidance but also a deep-seated need to follow orders blindly.
