A Lesson in Desire

So here I am, your humble high school teacher. Yeah, you heard right. But this isn't about any student-teacher boundary nonsense. Just me and a long-time friend who also happens to be an adult, of course, in our twenties. We've known each other for years but it was only recently that things... changed. One night over drinks, I let out some playful hints about how much I secretly enjoyed being the 'top' in a relationship dynamic, you know, taking charge and setting rules. To my surprise, she played along with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. We ended up exploring this new side of our friendship that night, kind of like we were figuring out the dynamics between characters from a book or movie but for real life. It was surprisingly freeing to let go and play a role where I wasn't just the teacher anymore. And it made us both laugh a lot, who knew playing pretend could be so damn fun?
