a small mistake

so i'm this daddy type and have been for a while now. it's not always easy but the girl looks up to me and listens so that makes everything worth it. we've got rules and she understands them and follows most of them, you know? but there was this one time when she didn't. it was supposed to be a weekend without candy or cookies because i wanted her to have healthier choices for once. but the fridge had these small chocolate bars in the back that no one else seemed to notice. i knew they were off limits and not part of the deal but honestly, i couldn't help myself. i felt bad enough just breaking my own rules so it was hard explaining to her why i broke them too. we ended up having this conversation where she kinda disappointed me and i disappointed her and now every time we talk about sweets there's always that little moment of tension or regret. i guess what i'm saying is sometimes even daddies make small mistakes.
