...A Mess Of Rules And Feelings...

Anonymous Naughty Petal #663 · General Confessions

I've always been this weird switch between the caregiver role and being a little. It started in college when I met my first real partner, Alex... He was so dominant, confident... Everything I wanted to be. We were both into BDSM from the start but as we got deeper into it, things started getting complicated. Alex took to being top naturally, always knew exactly what he wanted and how to get it. And for a while, that was great, I could just relax, take orders, be told what to do... It was comforting. But over time, as our relationship grew, so did my desire to step out of the little role... I began craving control... I wanted to nurture Alex, make him feel safe and loved. And so when I proposed the idea of me being a caregiver in certain scenarios, it felt right, like we could share that power dynamic equally for once. But here's where it gets messy... Sometimes after sessions as his little, I'd crave the caregiver role just to soothe myself afterward, knowing he was there to help. It created this weird cycle of wanting and needing different things at different times... Now we're a couple that can toggle between both roles seamlessly, or so we think. The problem is, I keep pushing the limits... Wanting more control, testing how far I can go before switching back into little mode when Alex calls me out for overstepping. It's an ongoing struggle to reconcile these two sides of myself and figure out what role I want to claim as my own in our relationship. Am I just playing both to avoid commitment? Or am I truly capable of being a nurturing caregiver and still enjoying the security of letting someone else take charge? ...So many questions, no clear answers yet...
