Law School's Dark Secret Revealed

Anonymous Dizzy Star #708 · General Confessions

I'm starting my first year at law school and somehow ended up in a DDLG dynamic with someone I met through a study group. Let me just preface this by saying that I had absolutely no idea what any of it meant or looked like, but here we are. My partner, who’s ten years older than me and knows all about kinks from way back, decided to initiate a little mentorship program where they would essentially be my teacher in every sense of the word. It started off innocuous enough, lots of hand-holding during stressful study sessions, some emotional support that I definitely needed. But then things got... complicated. I mean, who knew that having an older partner dictate how you dress for exams and making a list of rules about studying could be so... intense? We had this one conversation where they laid down the law (pun intended), and it was as formal as any legal contract we've covered in class. I’m not really sure what to make of it all. On one hand, I get support and guidance that feels tailor-made for me as a new student. But on another, the whole setup is kind of suffocating. It’s like I’m back in high school with an overprotective parent watching my every move. Maybe they’re just trying to teach responsibility or help me manage stress, god knows law school is stressful enough without some weird power dynamic playing out. So here’s the confession: Despite not fully understanding the depth of this arrangement and how unconventional it might look from the outside, I’ve been allowing myself to get lost in it. There are boundaries, there's consent, I mean, we both knew what was going on, but it still feels like something out of a bizarre dream sequence in an indie film. I don’t know if anyone else can relate or even if this makes sense at all, but here’s the gist: I’m in law school and found myself in a complex adult dynamic that mixes support with a bit too much authority for my taste right now. And yes, there are romantic implications to it all as well, which only complicates things further.
