I Broke A Promise To My Daddy Figure

So here's a little confession. I've been exploring this dynamic with an older man who's more like a daddy figure to me in some aspects of our relationship. We've established rules and guidelines, and one of them was that I had to call him every day at 7 PM sharp for a check-in call. Well, last night, something came up, and I missed it. It wasn't an emergency, just lazy on my part. When he found out this morning, there was no anger or punishment, just disappointment. I felt like crap for breaking his trust even over such a small thing. So tonight, I'll make sure to be there on time, ready to face whatever comes next.
