The Great Divide of Pleasure and Discipline
Anonymous Fuzzy Cupcake #105 · General Confessions
I’ve been in this relationship for about two years now. It started as a regular meet-up, but then things escalated into something more intense, more like a DDLG dynamic when we began to explore the power play side of our attraction. I’m 21 and he’s 35, and let me tell you, the age gap has always been an issue for my parents, they’ve never liked him. But it's not about them; they don’t understand this at all. Initially, when we first started, he was playful, but then as time went on, the dynamic changed. We entered into a more structured relationship where I play both roles: sometimes being his little one, wanting to be taken care of and disciplined, other times playing caregiver to him, ensuring he's okay emotionally and even physically, there are limits to what we do here, obviously. But it’s this constant switch that keeps things interesting for me. Last month, there was a particularly intense session. I’d been having a rough time at college, with exams and social pressures really getting to me. So, I confided in him about how overwhelmed I felt. Instead of the usual comfort or play, he suggested we take on roles that would reflect my current state: me as an emotional wreck needing care, him as the nurturing caregiver. But it went further than just role-play; he decided he needed to discipline me for my stress-induced lack of focus and motivation. That evening was intense. There were discussions about setting boundaries and expectations, making sure I understood his limits for this type of dynamic. Then came the actual session. The discipline involved a lot of talking, it wasn’t physical at all, but it felt like a deep dive into my psyche. He pointed out where I could improve and made me face some truths I’d been avoiding. Afterward, we both were emotionally drained but also clearer about what each needed from the other moving forward. It was an eye-opening experience for me as well, a realization that sometimes stepping back into a child-like state to receive guidance can be incredibly therapeutic and grounding when you feel lost or overwhelmed. I’ve never felt more seen in any relationship than this one, even with its challenges. This confession is about embracing the complexity of my desires, recognizing there’s no shame in needing discipline or care at times, especially within a consensual adult framework.
