Newbie's First Step

So I recently started exploring DDLG and kink after years of just reading about it online. Last night was my first time really diving in, I met up with a mentor type who walked me through some beginner scenarios. It was exhilarating, but also daunting at times. We kept things light-hearted, mostly role-playing exercises without much physical involvement, although there were hints of where we could take it next if both sides felt comfortable. I’m feeling all sorts of emotions right now, thrill, curiosity, maybe a bit scared too. It’s like I’ve unlocked this whole new world that I never knew existed before. But at the same time, I feel overwhelmed and unsure about how to proceed or what my limits are really going to be. Anyone else ever in a similar spot? How did you find your way through those initial feelings and experiences? Would love to hear some advice or just comments on navigating this space.
