A Secret Release During Lunch Break

Anonymous Sparkly Star #216 · General Confessions

I was having one of those days at work where every task felt like a mountain I had to climb. My boss was on my back about deadlines, and the pile of paperwork on my desk seemed to grow no matter how hard I worked. The only thing that kept me going was knowing I could get away for a moment during lunch and let loose. I found this spot in the park near work where people don't usually go. It's hidden from view, with a couple of trees offering shade and privacy. That day, as usual, I went there to escape the stress. What started as sitting on a bench quickly turned into something more. My hands roamed freely, and I let out a deep sigh when my fingers finally found release. It's strange how such an act can be both liberating and terrifying at the same time. I felt guilty for doing it somewhere so public but also incredibly relieved. It was just me against the world, if only for those few minutes of peace. When I left that spot, there was a new kind of calm inside me. The rest of my day went better after that.
